Revoke Charlotte Dujardin's Equestrian Gold Medals

Revoke Charlotte Dujardin's Equestrian Gold Medals

The Issue

As an ardent advocate against animal cruelty, I find it deeply perturbing that a celebrated figure like Charlotte Dujardin, an equestrian gold medalist, is defended and lauded despite practice methods that many perceive as harsh.

Animal cruelty is an issue that remains largely unaddressed in competitive sports like equestrian, which often lead to physical and psychological trauma for the animals involved. Dujardin's practices border on abuse, and it is disconcerting that this can be overlooked simply due to her achievements.

For animals, the price of gold seems too steep. I strongly believe that no amount of victory or prestige should cover up unethical practices. Gold medals should reflect not only an athlete's skills but also their integrity and respect for the creatures they share their success with.

This petition therefore urges the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to demonstrate a commitment towards animal welfare and revoke Charlotte Dujardin's gold medals, sending a stern message that animal cruelty will not be tolerated, irrespective of an athlete's success or influence.

I urge every animal lover and proponent of fair play in sports to join in this petition calling for greater transparency and ethical practices in equestrian sport. Stand together to make a change and sign this petition today.

You can see Charlotte's horrid "training methods" here on YouTube. I do not believe for a second this is an isolated event. She looks very comfortable with that whip.
