Rockdale County Commission: Revoke BioLab's Business License!

On September 29th, BioLab's negligence started a chemical fire that burned for weeks - forcing 17,000 to evacuate, shutting down I-20, and sending residents to the hospital. One family, mere weeks from the birth of their first child, has been afraid to return. Survivors of the companies previous fire and new residents have banded together - demanding the shut down of a reckless and dangerous company. The public outcry has been so great that the County had filed a lawsuit in federal court to shut the company down in Rockdale. 

There's a much simpler solution. The County Commission already has the power to shut down BioLab by revoking their business license. In fact, the County's own laws REQUIRE them to do so. 

Art. II Sec. 22-39.  of the Rockdale Code of Ordinances clearly states:

"Whenever a person doing business under a county license shall violate any law or ordinance of the United States or of the state or of this county, in pursuance of that business and involving the operation of that business, or when it shall be proven before the board of commissioners that the health, morals, interest and convenience of the public demand the revocation of that license, the board of commissioners shall suspend or revoke that license."
