The Issue

I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration over the handling of the Nolan Wells case by Jackson County District Attorney Angel Myers McIlrath, who serves the 19th Circuit Court District of Mississippi. It is essential that we hold our legal officials accountable, and in this case, I believe that the actions and findings of District Attorney McIlrath have been both inaccurate and unlawful.

In the case of Nolan Wells, it has become evident to many that Justice was not served, largely due to the alleged mishandling of the case by DA McIlrath. Decisions were made based on findings that were supposedly inaccurate, leading to a miscarriage of Justice. This situation has not only affected Nolan Wells and their family but also threatens the integrity of our legal system.

District attorneys are entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring Justice is fairly administered, and when they fail to uphold this duty, it is imperative for the community to call for action. The Legal profession demands a high degree of ethical standards, transparency, and accountability, all of which appear to have been compromised in this instance.

Notably, other individuals have also expressed their concerns regarding DA McIlrath's conduct, citing a pattern of questionable practices. This is not an isolated incident, but part of a broader issue that must be addressed.

Revoking the license of DA McIlrath would send a clear message that such oversights and errors in the execution of Justice will not be tolerated. We need to restore faith and confidence in our judicial system, and taking action in this matter is a critical step towards achieving that goal.

Please join me in calling for an official review and the revocation of Angel Myers McIlrath’s license. It is our responsibility as citizens to ensure that those who are tasked with upholding the law adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

Sign this petition to demand Justice for Nolan Wells and to ensure accountability in our legal system.
