Growing up in Mount Airy, NC, I was fortunate enough to learn about the Wagon Trains through so many people in our community. 

As members of Generation X and Millennials, they had the privilege of witnessing this fantastic tradition firsthand. However, it saddens me that younger generations such as Gen Z are missing out on this unique experience. The wagon trains were more than just an event; they were an opportunity for families to come together, ride their horse, and create lasting memories. 

To support my cause for reviving the wagon trains in Mount Airy once again, let's examine some relevant facts:

1. Economic Impact: According to local businesses' records during previous wagon train events held in Mount Airy, there was a significant boost in tourism revenue due to increased foot traffic and visitor spending.
 
2. Tourism Attraction: With its rich history tied to Mayberry (the fictional town from "The Andy Griffith Show"), Mount Airy is already known as a tourist destination. Reviving the wagon trains would further enhance its appeal by offering visitors a nostalgic experience.

3. Memories: It will allow older and younger  people to create more everlasting memories to cherish forever. 

It is imperative that we come together as a community to bring back this cherished tradition.
