It has come to my attention that the current Amtrak Acela trainsets, dynamic and storied, are scheduled to be replaced by new Avelia Liberty trainsets this very year. The set aside Amtrak Acela trains, the heartbeats of many journeys, have been given no plans for preservation or continued use. This is an overlooked opportunity: seeing these truly iconic trainset relegated to the history books is plain unacceptable!

There is a logical and beneficial way to repurpose these trainsets: the Amtrak Keystone Service. The Keystone Service is the sole fully electrified service other than the Acela.
