I am an ardent fan who has passionately played "Memories of Mars" across platforms, on PC and PS2, for more than half a decade. In a shocking turn of events, 505 Games announced the game's retirement in mid-2024, leaving a vacuum for its dedicated players.

Memories of Mars captivated us with its unique gameplay from its inception in 2020 until its retirement after a 4 years lifespan. It is disheartening to see such a cherished game abruptly vanish, robbing us players of our joy and leaving a void.

Luckily, hope sparks through an effort to revive the game available on GitHub under the project “MoMRevisited.” Hence, this petition serves as an appeal to 505 Games to reconsider their decision. Supporting the revival effort and reigniting the game servers will not only salvage a fan-favorite game but also restore faith among its dedicated players.

With the support of thousands of players worldwide, we believe that the revival of Memories of Mars will ensure the continuation of its glory days. Let us unite and send a strong message to 505 Games – we won’t let our cherished game silently fade away.

We would like for 505 Games to either:

1. Restore the original matchmaking servers to restore gameplay.
2. Modify the game code to allow for community matchmaking servers to work.
3. Release the game source code so that the community can make the necessary modifications.
