Revive the Amtrak National Limited Train Service!

The Issue

As a passionate advocate for rail transportation across the United States, I am deeply concerned about the discontinuation of the long-distance National Limited train service by Amtrak. Since its discontinuation in 1979, Columbus and Dayton have been left as two of the largest cities in America without intercity passenger rail service. This has not only inconvenienced many citizens but also hampered economic growth and development.

The National Limited train was more than just a mode of transport; it was an essential link that connected communities, fostered business opportunities, and provided affordable travel for all. Its absence has created a significant gap in our transportation system that needs to be addressed urgently.

In recent years, discussions around reviving this crucial service have been part of Amtrak's expansion plans. However, these discussions need to materialize into concrete actions now more than ever before.

By signing this petition, you are supporting the revival of an essential piece of our nation's infrastructure and advocating for better connectivity between our cities. Let us urge Amtrak to bring back the National Limited train service and reconnect our communities! Please sign this petition today!
