As someone who has witnessed the declining business of the Uptown Mall in Willmar, Minnesota, just like the Hutchinson Mall, the situation is personal to me. Many businesses have closed their doors and left, leading to a significant decrease in visitation and revenue for the remaining stores. We need reimagine our mall to revive it and breathe new life into it.i believe an H&M ,Macy’s,American Eagle and a Barnes and Noble would make it really grow .

The Uptown Mall holds potential and can again be a bustling hub of shopping, dining, and socializing it once was. By introducing more stores, restaurants, and potentially bars, we can give the community more options, encourage foot traffic, and uplift the economy of our town. Moreover, these changes can also provide ample local job opportunities, facilitating the growth of our local economy. 

Willmar City Data (2019) shows that our populous city of over 19,000 people can indeed support such commercial rejuvenation, therefore we must act now. We urge the property owners, city officials, and relevant stakeholders to respond to our pleas, renovate and attract diverse range of business to the Uptown Willmar Mall.
