Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters,

We wanted to personally thank each of you who stood by Zaraeh during a very emotional and challenging time. As many of you know, Zaraeh did not make the Archer High School cheer team for her final and senior year.

This outcome has been difficult to accept, especially after years of dedication and passion. Throughout this process, we voiced our concerns and shared Zaraeh’s story with the school principal, the area superintendent, the athletic director, and even the superintendent of Gwinnett County. While we were heard and treated with attentiveness, unfortunately, no meaningful accountability was taken regarding coach Newburn actions, and the outcome did not change.

We have since contacted the Georgia High School Association to continue seeking fairness and awareness beyond the district level.

Despite this disappointment, Zaraeh remains strong. She is already giving back by coaching first and second grade cheerleaders through the Archer Athletic Association, and she’ll be working at Chick-fil-A as well. These new roles will keep her engaged and growing during her senior year, and we hope she’ll find other ways to be involved at school especially so she can still take part in Senior Night, something she’s looked forward to for 12 years.

To everyone who signed her petition, shared kind words, or simply listened thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This isn’t the end of Zaraeh’s story. It’s just a new beginning, and your support has meant everything to us.

With gratitude,

Timeshia Wright
