I met with the Athletic Director of Gwinnett County this Thursday. I shared my concerns regarding the fairness of the tryouts and presented proof of the issues. Despite this, he stated he did not see sufficient grounds to overturn the decision, citing the points system the judges used to rate the students. I requested that Zaraeh — along with the other students affected — be given a fair opportunity to re-tryout in front of independent judges from outside the school, ones without bias. He said he would inquire about the request but made it clear he cannot force them to comply.

I am currently waiting to hear back. If necessary, I am prepared to continue escalating this matter to ensure Zaraeh receives the fair treatment she deserves.
