This petition centers around Zaraeh Wright, a devoted student and athlete, who was not allocated a spot on the Archer High School Varsity Cheerleading Team for her final academic year. The reasoning given to us was that her score was low after cheering for years under the same coaching staff. This decision without a doubt, has constituted a significant setback for her and our family. We stand firm on our conviction that a major misjudgment has transpired in this matter that requires reconsideration.

Zaraeh has shown incredible dedication towards the cheer team, faithfully serving for the past three years under the same coaching staff without any incident. Her commitment and sportsmanship can hardly go unnoticed. Zaraeh's dedication to her sport, her excellence in her academic life, her leadership skills, and her relentless spirit, have contributed to the overall development and performance of the Archer High School Cheerleading team. 

School sports have a profound impact on students. According to Nationwide Children's Hospital, student-athletes often have higher GPAs, better attendance records, lower dropout rates, and fewer disciplinary problems than students who aren't athletes. Hence, when we overlook the consistent hard work and commitment shown by a student like Zaraeh Wright, it undermines the fundamentals of encouragement, fairness, and justice that we strive to uphold in our schools.
