I am an employee at Red Rocks, a popular venue in Denver, CO. I have personally experienced the restrictive nature of our current dress code policy that prohibits visible piercings. This policy not only limits our freedom of expression but also does not reflect the progressive values of our city.

Denver is known for its vibrant arts scene and diverse population. According to a 2020 Harris Poll, nearly half (46%) of Americans have at least one tattoo, indicating that tattoos are becoming increasingly mainstream. Furthermore, a study by Pew Research Center found that 23% of Americans have piercings in places other than their ears.

The current dress code policy is out-of-step with these trends and does not represent the inclusive spirit of Denver or Red Rocks itself. It's time for change.

We are asking for a revision to this dress code policy to allow visible piercings among employees at Red Rocks. This change will foster an environment where all employees can feel comfortable expressing themselves while still maintaining professionalism.
