The Issue

Texas House Bill 2926 made possible for parents whose rights had been terminated a new chance at reunification given certain timeframes and such are met. After two years if the child has not been adopted and is not in the future looking forward to adoption the parent may file to petition the court to reinstate their parental rights. This bill however does not apply to people who had given up/or willingly signed away their parental rights.  I am asking for parents who signed away their rights to have the same ability as those whose were terminated by the court. Please help me change this. Sign below and join me in changing the lives of families like mine. I signed my rights away willingly. Now my son has set in state run facility/group home/ behavioral center for two years. He is soon to be a teenager. I am now better suited to care for my child. I would be thankful to be able to petition the courts to reunify me and my son, I have to try. Please help me. I do not want him to grow up this way. #REUNIFYDEAN&ME
