The decisions have been announced on Local Government reorganisation!

The Government has announced its decisions on Local Government reorganisation.
Rutland will be at the eastern tip of a huge ring around an enlarged Leicester city stretching all the way to Hinckley, Ashby de la Zouch, and East Midlands Airport.
Unless we can get the Lincolnshhire decision reversed, Stamford will be at the south western tip of a 574,000 population "Lincolnshire minus Lincoln city" council stretching all the way to Gainsborough & Mablethorpe 70 miles away to the north. A separate campaign is in preparation to challenge this particular decision.
Creating these new councils will involve boundary changes and new council ward structures, so now is the time to put our petition for this boundary change into the mix with the other changes. The Stamford / Rutland boundary must be reviewed whatever the final outcome of other proposed changes.
