The Issue

This petition seeks justice for the countless innocent lives lost and affected by the actions of Marlon Gerardo Saenz Cruz, also known as "Chino Enoc." We urge the Department of State and the Attorney General of the USA to thoroughly review his presence in our country and hold him accountable for his heinous crimes against humanity.

In 2018, Nicaragua experienced a horrific wave of violence known as "Operation Clean Up," orchestrated by Sandinista paramilitaries. Marlon Gerardo Saenz Cruz has openly confessed his participation in this operation, which resulted in the summary executions of over 350 civilians and left hundreds more missing. These acts were nothing short of state terrorism, causing immense suffering to innocent Nicaraguan citizens.

The evidence supporting these claims is not only based on public confessions but also on official recognition from reputable international organizations. The Organization of American States (OAS) and the United Nations (UN) have officially declared and recognized these crimes committed by Sandinista paramilitaries against their own people and have compared them to Hitlerian actions.

Furthermore, it is crucial to highlight that this petition aims to bring a sort of justice to Eddie Montes Praslin, a US citizen and US Navy veteran who was summarily executed while under custody by individuals like Marlon Gerardo Saenz Cruz. Eddie Montes Praslin's tragic fate serves as a painful reminder that no one is safe while this individual roams around freely as he is capable of acts of such brutality against unarmed civilians exercising their rights to protest and freedom of speach and assembly.

We implore you, Department of State and Attorney General, to take immediate action in reviewing Marlon Gerardo Saenz Cruz's presence within our borders. It is essential that we uphold our commitment to human rights and ensure that individuals responsible for crimes against humanity face appropriate consequences for their actions.

By signing this petition, we stand united in demanding justice for all victims affected by Marlon Gerardo Saenz Cruz's participation in "Operation Clean Up." We urge the Department of State and the Attorney General to conduct a thorough investigation into his activities, ensuring that he is held accountable for his crimes against humanity. Together, let us work towards a world where justice prevails and human rights are protected.
