As an animal lover and a resident of Walvis Bay, Namibia, I have witnessed the distressing impact of fireworks on animals. The loud bangs not only cause psychological trauma but also physical harm as many animals attempt to flee or hide from the noise. 

Fireworks are not just a nuisance; they pose a serious threat to our beloved pets and local wildlife. According to studies, noise levels from fireworks can reach up to 150 decibels - far beyond what most animals can tolerate (source: RSPCA). This extreme noise pollution leads many animals into dangerous situations as they try desperately to escape.

This is why I am calling for an urgent review of firework regulations in Walvis Bay. We need stricter regulations, that ban the usage of fireworks.  By signing this petition, you are standing with us in advocating for the welfare of all creatures big and small who call our city home.
