We are pleased and proud to say that we delivered 'A Moment for Miriam' to No 10 Downing Street yesterday at 1.30pm. It was a very surreal, but proud experience for the five of us yet again. Miriam was with us yesterday in more ways than one. Her beautiful smiling face was on our T-Shirts and Banner for all to see, and thousands did see. She was in our hearts and minds, as she is every second of every day. But I also imagined her walking alongside the five of us through the famous black gates and up to No 10 Downing street. I felt quite emotional as I handed the box over, which had the petition itself inside plus the letter I wrote to Theresa May PM. All of your names and every single comment is part of the petition and included in the box (digitally). Lets hope that our Prime Minister, amongst others will now take some time to read all of your comments and appreciate the 109,112 signatures presented yesterday. We will now await eagerly for an announcement of a date to when the guidelines will be reviewed. We hope for news on discussion and debate in Parliament in the near future as well. We met Mark Williams, our local MP in Westminster yesterday before going to Downing St. and he has promised to push for progress and a review date as well. Thank you Mark. We have had a lot of media coverage recently and yesterday was no exception. Television, radio, social media and newspapers spoke of our petition delivery. We appreciate the coverage and support that we have had from everyone. But we have to mention Aled Scourfield from BBC Wales personally - who travelled to London yesterday from West Wales and who interviewed us very sympathetically outside Downing St. Aled has covered our journey from the start and he was in court with us for the sentencing last October. Diolch yn fawr iawn i ti Aled ac i'r BBC. If you would like to help further, and only if you feel able to.... Would you be willing to contact your own local MP and ask if they can support the need for a review and a change in the law for killer drink / drivers. The more MPs behind this matter now the better! Last but not least ..... A massive thank you to you all as always. So many of you shared my update yesterday - and to all my facebook friends who have 'liked' and shared the photos yesterday - we are truly overwhelmed but very very grateful. We also appreciate every single message recieved. I shall keep you all informed and let you know how things progress. Lets hope for a positive response. For now we have done all that we possibly can. We are on the way home from London as I speak and will have a quiet weekend to reflect on things. Kind regards to you all. Ceinwen, Richard, Katie-Ann, Megan & Lowri xxxxx
