The Issue

I've been an avid player of DonutSMP for a long time, finding joy and excitement in the balanced gameplay and sense of community it offered. Sadly, the recent update that transformed it into a pay-to-win (P2W) server has marred this experience. Like many others, I despise P2W servers for several reasons. They make everything feel unfairly stacked against regular players, and they strip away the pleasure of truly earning your way to the top.

With the flood of new updates aiming to squeeze out more revenue, it seems the focus has shifted away from player enjoyment to profit. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to profit from farms, sustain competitive gameplay, or even stay stocked up on essential items like totems of undying. Rather than delight in the game, players are becoming frustrated and discouraged.

This shift is not just a minor inconvenience—it fundamentally alters the balance and spirit of the server, creating an environment where only those willing to pay can fully enjoy the game. This leads to a divide in the community and diminishes the sense of fair play and camaraderie that DonutSMP was known for.

I understand the need for server monetization, but I firmly believe there are better ways to support a game financially without compromising the gameplay. Alternatives like cosmetic items or optional memberships can generate revenue while preserving the core elements of fairness and equality.

Let's join together to voice our concerns and urge the developers to revert the P2W aspects of the update, ensuring that DonutSMP remains a place of fair competition and enjoyment for all. Please sign this petition to help us restore the balance and joy in DonutSMP.
