Revert the Property of 9819 W. Farm Road 60 Back to the Ash Grove School District

The Issue

I am seeking your support to reverse the annexation of the property at 9819 W. Farm Road 60 Walnut Grove Missouri from the Willard school district back to its original Ash Grove district. This is a deeply personal matter as its impact hits close to home, affecting my family's education and financial circumstances.

Back in April 1962, Bill Willoughby, a self-employed bus driver, made a decision which has a long-lasting effect we still battle today—that is, the annexation of this property from the Ash Grove district into the Willard district. This change was conducted to meet his personal needs at the time, allowing him to drive his daughter to school.

Our daughters today, however, suffer from this decision as they cannot go to school with their neighbors due to the Willard School District not sending a bus to their residence. Instead, we are currently spending $7000 a year in tuition to send them to the district they should already be in—a substantial amount that puts strains on our family's financial health.

We believe our children's education and future should not be compromised by a decision made over 50 years ago. It is time to put an end to this familial burden and to give our daughters the chance to shamelessly embrace the school community they desire—and deserves—to be part of.

Let us unite to reverse this situation imposed by the past and allow the property at 9819 W. Farm Road 60 Walnut Grove Missouri to be reintegrated into the Ash Grove school district, promoting educational accessibility for all children living in the area now and in the years to come. Please, sign this petition.
