I am a student of Fox Ridge Middle School, our school decided to alter our RISE pillars, overlooking the deep-seated roots they held in our institution. As more than a decade of students can confirm, art in the form of multiple murals and paintings have been passed down based on these pillars. The arbitrary changes have not only undermined our historical identity, but are also a wastage of the resources tied to those murals and paintings. Statistics reveal that educational institutions with consistent principles perform better in overall student wellbeing and performance, as consistency fosters a stable environment for learning (National Bureau of Economic Research). Old students of our school, present students, and upcoming students should not see their heritage and resources squandered in this manner. To protect our legacy and resources, we demand to revert the changes made to our school's RISE pillars. Please sign this petition to support our cause.
