New York Has the Third Highest wrongful convictions in the United States.

Appeals process fails the poor, indigent and disabled.  

District attorneys routinely withold Exonerating discovery to defendants.

There is no oversight for rogue district attorneys who ignore clear evidence of innocence.

No one should spend time in jail for crime they did not commit.

Thousands of minority and disabled  people languish in jails convicted of crimes without DNA evidence.

It is time to have fair, equitable and accessible law to clear the wrongfully convicted. It's time free attorneys were made available to the wrongfully convicted to fight injustice.

New York State Assembly and State Senate approved the " clear the wrongful conviction act " last week.

Please encourage New York Governor Hochul to sign the " Clear the Wrongful convictions law 2023-s7548(senate version and a2878, assembly version.
