Subject: Request to Reverse the Reduction of Assistant Professor Posts for Electronics & Telecommunication Branch – MPSC Advertisement No. 048/2023

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing on behalf of numerous candidates and stakeholders who are deeply concerned about the reduction in the number of assistant professor posts for the Electronics & Telecommunication (E&TC) branch from 21 to 1 under MPSC Advertisement No. 048/2023. This decision is unfair and detrimental to the education sector, particularly in government engineering colleges, where there is already a significant shortage of faculty.

Many government engineering colleges in Maharashtra have 30-40% vacancies in the E&TC department, adversely affecting the quality of education for students. Reducing posts further will only exacerbate the situation.

**We request the following:**

1. Immediate reconsideration and revision of the number of assistant professor posts for the E&TC branch.
2. Measures to address the existing faculty shortages in government colleges
3. Transparency regarding the criteria used to reduce posts under the advertisement. We appeal to all decision-makers mentioned above to take swift action to restore fairness and ensure the future of students is not compromised.
