The Rockville Cemetery Board took it upon themselves to create unrealistic, unreasonable policies regarding decorations for our loved ones who have passed away. They have given us only 6 weeks to put up decor, and at that have limited it so severely there are not very many options. This decision was NOT unanimous. This decision was NOT based on maintenance, as I have spoken to the lawn care company and they said "if its out there, I will weed eat around it." We need your help to show the board how this outrages our community. What about loved ones birthdays? Anniversaries? Holidays? Everyone grieves in their own way. And for many, decor at a graveside is a huge sense of comfort. We should be allowed the freedom to celebrate our loved ones lives in a way that's unique to each family. Please help us by signing this petition to call for reasonable decoration policies at the Rockville Cemetery.
