I write this petition from a personal perspective. Once, I was a student at Forest Avenue Elementary School, and it irks me to see plans of its impending closure. This school has remained a beacon for local education for years, molding the young minds that are its students into well-rounded, competent citizens of the world.

The decision to close it is jaggedly short-sighted, discounting the significant role the school plays in its community. For instance, Forest Avenue is among the few schools that retains above-average academic performance in the district, a clear indicator of its significant contribution to the society.

Given the school's historical importance and valuable service to its community, it is essential to revisit this concerning decision to close it down. We, the former students, teachers, parents, and community members, urge the relevant authorities to repeal this decision and keep Forest Avenue Elementary School open.
