All grocery stores are not equal and Thrifty Foods in Sapperton is an important business in our neighbourhood that is committed to giving back to, and supporting the local community. Thrifty's is a unique business and they take pride in their corporate social responsibilities and have become an anchor business in the Brewery District.

Sign the petition to order the Competition Bureau to re-evaluate the sale of Thrifty Foods in New Westminster. Thrifty’s is a home-grown, community-minded business that has become a mainstay of our neighbourhood. Thrifty's was an integral part in revitalizing the Sapperton area and they support the larger community of New Westminster and it will be a great loss to our city if it were to be replaced by another run of the mill grocery.

The decision to sell Thrifty’s will greatly impact our community and it needs to be re-evaluated with proper community involvement.
