In August this year, BB, my flat coat retriever, and a St John Therapy Dog for the past three years, represented the other 500 dogs in the programme, in the "NZ Top Dog with a Job" competiton. The judges placed her 2nd to the winner, for all the incredible work she does in the community. There were over 300 working dogs in the competition, so a very proud moment for my girl.
If we, along with the other 500 plus dogs and pets and their volunteers, are to continue this journey, we need all the signatures we can possibly muster to show St John just how important their Therapy Pet programme is, for well being and mental health in our communities.
As I write, 685 supporter signatures are now on the petition, with 551 shares and a number of donations, which has spread the word even further. To each of you, a huge thanks and if you would like to see the petition reach 1,000 signatures as we now enter the third week, we have to potential to achieve that if you would like to SHARE the petition AGAIN PLEASE.
Thank you all so much for your support, it's heartwarming to see.
BB and Brenda
