Reverse the changes to the Year 12 admission policy at Saint Olaves Grammar School.

Reverse the changes to the Year 12 admission policy at Saint Olaves Grammar School.
The Issue
The school admission policy at Saint Olaves has always been an extremely selective 6A's and 3B's. We have fought to reach and attain these grades so we can progress into the school sixth form. However despite being one of the most selective schools in the country, it has now been changed to be even more selective. The policy now states that 64 points must be obtained from the following point system:
- A*/8 OR 9 is 8 points
- A/7 is 7 points
- B/6 is 6 points
- Anything below a B, including a C, which is a pass, will not be counted.
- As you can see in the top condition, a 9, the hardest grade to achieve in the new, apparently harder IGCSE, will not give extra points.
- This is based of your 9 best GCSE grades
Our Problems:
- The drastic change in a single school year from the equivalent of 60 points to 64 (A 4 grade increase)
- The fact this was hidden away on the school website, and decided on without the knowledge of the students (according to one teacher it has been up for 6 months)
- Once again these changes have been made for the year 10s who already are the guinea pigs for the latest IGCSE.
What we want:
- The score of 64 in the above mentioned policy to be lowered, back down to the 60 it was before
- An apology from the school for not telling the students about the change.
- A promise that no one who has signed this petition will have any action taken against them.
Thank you for taking the time to read, and hopefully sign this petition.
Some people in this school, specifically year 7, have been threatened with detention for signing this, but know that this is a denial of human rights and will not be stood for.
P.S any silly comments, and swearing comments, no matter how meaningful will be deleted, so the cause will be taken seriously.
