Reuben Lack For President

The first key reason we should support this petition is because the obvious injustice against this young man was perpetrated out of prejudice for the LGBT community. Reuben Lack is not gay. He is a brilliant 18yo high school student trying to bring equality to all students by proposing a simple change in Alpharetta High School's prom king and queen tradition. He was removed from his station by the school's administration and now the benefits he is rightfully owed have been taken away from him.

Second, he decided not to take the issue lying down, He is in civil litigation as he petitioned the courts to allow him to keep his seat as student body president so that he can give his graduation speech this year. He has been slandered by his school and in the media. Reuben Lack has been harassed by this fellow students and by the community in which he lives all for an issue that is not personally his own.

Third, we as a gay community and supporters of what is right should show our support and force. We cannot let this young man fight our battle by himself. THAT IS NOT RIGHT. He deserves to give his graduation speech. IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO.
