NOT RIGHT Red Bins Fortnight Only

The Tweed council has change bin collections to red bins once a fortnight, on the grounds that they are now separating food wastes from general waste. Food waste will go into the vegetation (green) bin and they will go out weekly instead of fortnight.
However food waste are not half the general waste, the red bin is already full and another week to wait before it is due to be collected,
The rates we pay are still the same and the waste regardless of general, food scraps or vegetation has not changed, yet we have lost the service of a weekly disposal of our red lid bin.
It is easier to control the green bin by not pruning or mowing the lawn. But it is extremely difficult to control the general waste that is generated throughout the week, and once a fortnight collection will overflow the red bin. Extremely un-hygienic.
We need to keep the weekly collection of red bin and continue with the food scraps separation in the green bin. The collection of green bin can be fortnightly or weekly, depending on what eventuates.
Please help and sign this petition, and return the weekly collection of the red bins.
