On April 30, 2026, the card game Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge was shut down due to its small player base and insufficient revenue to continue supporting the game.

 

Many players were shocked by this news. At least, I was.

 

Many months have passed since the game was shut down. During all this time, I have continued to miss Warpforge, and I know that many other players feel the same way. I want to appeal to Everguild and Games Workshop with a simple request.

 

I understand that reopening the game and maintaining its online servers may no longer be financially viable. I understand that supporting an online game requires money, time, and resources, and I am not asking you to do something that is impossible or unsustainable.

 

Instead, I am asking you to consider creating an offline mode for Warpforge, allowing players to continue playing against AI bots even without online servers.

 

Of course, many of us would love to see Warpforge fully resurrected, with online multiplayer, new updates, and continued support. However, we understand that this may be unlikely.

 

Yes, Warpforge had its problems. Its balance could be frustrating, and there were times when I hated the game because of it. But after all these months without it, I have realized how much I actually miss playing it. I have found myself looking past its flaws and remembering why I loved it in the first place.

 

That is why I am asking Everguild and Games Workshop:

 

Please consider giving Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge an offline future.

 

Even if the online servers cannot return, please consider allowing players to experience the game against AI opponents, preserve its existing content, and keep the game playable for the future.

 

We are not asking you to maintain expensive servers forever.

 

We are asking you not to let a game that has already been created, played, and loved by a community disappear completely.

 

Please give Warpforge a chance to live on.
