Urgent: Community Meeting scheduled for 28 July POSTPONED

It is with great disappointment that we must postpone the Community Town Hall meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday 28 July, to launch our Save Bradfield Park South campaign.

At 4.42 pm on Monday 27 July, the Principal of St Aloysius' College emailed the Precinct Executive to withdraw the College's invitation to use the Great Hall for tomorrow evening's community meeting. 

This decision came as a complete surprise, particularly as we had been working closely with the St Aloysius team for many weeks, had shared all information well in advance and even discussed plans and logistics late this afternoon.

It is especially disappointing because the students of St Aloysius will be among the direct beneficiaries of our efforts to return Bradfield Park South to the community as a safe, accessible and welcoming public park for everyone to enjoy. 

The Precinct Executive will now secure an alternative venue so that we can proceed with the launch of this important public campaign. We will advise the community of the new arrangements as soon as they are confirmed.

While this development is deeply regrettable, it does nothing to diminish our determination to see Bradfield Park South returned to the community. We always knew there would be challenges along the way—this is clearly one of them—but our resolve remains unchanged.

Our community will not be silenced. This park is simply too important.
