Following the incident involving BTS member SUGA, other fandoms created the hashtag #SUGAChallenge using inappropriate images and slogans, making it seem as if ARMY is encouraging dangerous behavior. This has harmed the reputations of BTS, SUGA, and the ARMY fanbase.Subsequent articles have wrongly claimed that ARMY created the challenge, ignoring our calls for retraction despite evidence pointing to the actual groups responsible.We request that the media outlets that published these articles retract their statements and correct their mistakes.BTS have been role models for the past 11 years, both for Korean and international fans. We take pride in supporting artists who are also good people. To portray us as irresponsible and inappropriate fans is offensive, misleading, and heartbreaking.
