John Gomez a Sheriff of Brooks County Sheriff's Department has recently resigned with hopes of K9 Echo retiring into his care. Unfortunately Brooks County Sheriff' Benny Martinez told Gomez to return K9 Echo and drop him off. Why? Sheriff Benny Martinez is considering putting him through more training and keeping him in the field. Unfortunately K9 Echo after being in the care of Gomez for 8 1/2 yrs doesn't understand what's going on. K9 Echo has gone home with Gomez for years and is now being left in a kennel all by himself. Anyone who owns a dog knows the  mental damage this is bringing to the K9. I should let you know that K9 Echo was a given to the Sheriff's Depart as a donation. Doesn't K9 Echo deserve to retire after all the years of work he's put in? Is this how we treat a K9?
