As a student and a mother, I have experienced firsthand the additional layer of complexity the proposed change from Proctorio to ProctorU would bring. I currently use a MAC, and the existing system is compatible with it, making my examination process smoother. This proposed change becomes a challenge considering that ProctorU possesses incompatibility troubles with MAC systems. The 72-hour appointment scheduling requirement further creates an inconvenient and almost impossible-to-maintain standard for those of us balancing school, parenthood, and life's unpredictability. The change could mean extremely late-night exams if there's even a time slot available, which is not conducive to optimal brain performance.

It's important to note that Proctorio has exhibited reliable and efficient examination proctoring system. The abrupt switch without warning is inconsiderate to the students of Herzing University who have already acclimatised to the existing system.

We believe in the spirit of 'Students First', as stated in Herzing University’s values. Changes to exam proctoring should adhere to this principle fostering a system that caters to all, regardless of their personal circumstance or the type of their computing device.

We, therefore, urge the University to reconsider this proposed switch and maintain Proctorio as the exam proctoring system. We highly value our education and the user-friendly infrastructure in place that enables us to focus on studying without additional, unnecessary, stress.
