I have had the privilege of working at various colleges, but the mission of City College of San Francisco (CCSF) stands out. CCSF is committed to serving its diverse community, including Veterans and Nursing Students, etc...

Regardless of income, age, race, religion, disability or sex. It provides opportunities for all to begin and complete degrees and even start a career in a variety of fields.

However, our beloved institution is at risk. The accreditation that allows us to serve this vibrant community hangs in the balance due to unstable leadership. Over recent years we've seen a revolving door of chancellors and key financial administrators which has put our accreditation in jeopardy.

Chancellor David Martin has shown he possesses the experience and leadership necessary to guide CCSF through these challenging times. His retention can make a significant difference in securing our future success.

Unfortunately, our Board seems unwilling or unable to address their inability to retain quality leaders like Chancellor Martin. This lackadaisical approach towards leadership stability threatens the very essence of what makes CCSF great – its commitment towards inclusive education.

We must act now! We urge you all - classified staff, students, faculty members and concerned citizens - join us in petitioning for retaining Chancellor David Martin as head of CCSF. Let's ensure that we secure not just our accreditation but also continue fulfilling our mission – providing quality education for all who seek it.
