Resurrect the Shocker in "The Amazing Spider-Man" comics

The Issue

Herman Schultz/The Shocker is a popular villain in the monthly Spider-Man comic books.  While the villain does not have any powers, he uses his "vibro-shock" wrist gauntlets to shoot powerful blasts and rob banks.  Created in 1967, the Shocker has become one of Spider-Man's oldest and most popular villains in his rogues gallery of villains.  The Shocker has served as a member of such teams as the Sinister Syndicate, the Masters of Evil and even the Sinister Six.

In the current "Death Spiral" storyline from Marvel, in issue #23 of the current "The Amazing Spider-Man" comic books, Herman Schultz was attacked in his own apartment by the new villain Torment.  After we learned Mary Jane Watson is one of Torment's targets and that Herman Schultz was distantly related to Mary Jane because his mother's sister's daughter was married to a Watson (yes, this is real and not a 'Spaceballs' quote), Torment cut off Schultz's left hand and murdered him.  Schultz's brother Marty has also apparently been either retconned or forgotten about in this current story.

Several of Spider-Man's classic villains have been killed off for shock value in the past, such as Doctor Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus and Max Dillon/Electro, but the villains were ultimately resurrected due to their popularity.  We, the fans, would like to see Marvel Comics quickly undo the events of "Death Spiral", resurrect Herman Schultz and have him return as the Shocker in the monthly Spider-Man comic books.
