The issue

Pacific Fair Shopping Centre parents rooms are essential spaces designed for feeding, changing, and caring for young children. However, because these rooms currently feature open public access, they are frequently used by individuals without children for non-parenting purposes. This creates significant safety risks, overcrowding, and a severe breach of privacy for vulnerable infants, children, and their caregivers.

We demand that Pacific Fair Shopping Centre install secure access control systems on all parents rooms. Access should be restricted exclusively to parents and caregivers through a dedicated access card system. This can be easily integrated using:

Existing Centre Digital Apps: A free, instant digital access pass for parents registered on the shopping centre's app.

Physical Cards: A tap-and-enter card available at customer service desks for parents and caregivers.

Intercom Verification: A quick button to buzz security or customer service for immediate entry if needed.

Protecting our children in public spaces must be a priority. Restricting access ensures these spaces remain safe, clean, hygienic, and available only to the families who truly need them.
