We need new laws to restrict fireworks to planned professional displays only. This would not only help reduce noise pollution but also ensure public safety by reducing instances of misuse that put our emergency services at risk.

According to a 2018 survey by Dogs Trust, 62% of dogs show signs of distress during fireworks (Dogs Trust). Also, research shows that people with Autism Spectrum Disorder can have heightened sensitivity to loud noises (Autism Society). These statistics highlight how urgent this issue is for both humans and animals alike.
