Restrict Deltona from building more homes

The Issue

Living in Deltona, I've witnessed a significant growth in traffic over the years. Our once serene neighbourhoods are now disrupted by endless streams of cars, making daily commutes a struggle and increasing the risk of accidents. The charm of Deltona is in its community spirit and open spaces, yet this is being compromised by the relentless construction of new homes.

Currently, Deltona's infrastructure is not equipped to handle the surge in population growth. According to city planning statistics, the number of housing permits issued has increased by 30% in the last two years alone. The roads have become congested, and our schools are overcrowded, affecting the quality of education for our children. Public services, from waste management to emergency services, are stretched thin, impacting our daily lives and environment.

This petition seeks to urge the Deltona City Council to limit the issuance of building permits and focus on developing the existing infrastructure. By imposing reasonable limitations on new developments, they can ensure that growth is sustainable and in the best interest of current residents.

Additionally, we propose that city planners conduct a comprehensive impact assessment of the current infrastructure and work on enhancing traffic management systems. This involves improving public transportation, widening roads, and ensuring that new developments are only sanctioned if supported by the infrastructure.

Deltona is our home, and it's crucial that we preserve the quality of life that attracted us here in the first place. Let's join together to protect our community and request the City Council to take action before it's too late. Sign this petition to make our voices heard and keep Deltona livable for future generations.
