Restore USPS Home Mail Delivery to Affected Residents in Glasgow, Kentucky

Restore USPS Home Mail Delivery to Affected Residents in Glasgow, Kentucky
The Issue
HOME. MAIL. DELIVERY.
Safety Matters. So Does Mail Delivery.
Residents of our community in Glasgow, Kentucky have been without regular home mail delivery since April 2026.
We understand and support the importance of postal employee safety. We recognize that a legitimate threat was reported and concerns were raised regarding a loose dog. Law enforcement and Animal Control have already been involved and will continue to be involved when necessary.
However, many residents who had no involvement in these incidents continue to be affected.
Many of us were never directly notified by USPS that mail delivery had been suspended. In fact, residents only learned about the interruption after a neighbor visited the post office and shared the information with the community.
This situation impacts elderly residents, disabled individuals, families with small children, residents without reliable transportation, and hardworking people who work six or more days per week and cannot access the post office during normal business hours.
Important medications, bills, legal documents, government correspondence, and other time-sensitive mail have become difficult to access.
As a community, we are committed to being part of the solution. Residents are working to ensure animals are properly secured, reporting loose animals when observed, and cooperating with local authorities to maintain a safe environment for postal employees and residents alike.
We are not asking USPS to compromise employee safety. We are asking for clear communication, accountability, and a path toward restoring home mail delivery to residents who have done nothing wrong.
Please sign and share this petition to help restore home mail delivery to our community.
