The Issue

Under the Trump administration, thousands of asylum seekers who had been granted Temporary Protected Status (TPS) had that protection unjustly revoked. Many were then detained by ICE and fast-tracked for deportation—without a fair hearing or access to legal counsel. We demand their immediate release, the restoration of their TPS, and the right to due process under U.S. law.

We call on Congress and the current administration to correct the injustices caused by Trump-era immigration policies and take immediate action to:

1. Release all asylum seekers who previously held TPS and are now detained in ICE facilities.

2. Restore TPS protections for those individuals, many of whom followed legal processes to escape violence, instability, or disaster in their home countries.

3. Guarantee due process, including legal representation and a fair hearing in court before any deportation action.

4. Overturn Trump-era mass deportation policies that stripped immigrants of rights and violated fundamental constitutional protections.

These individuals are not criminals. They are people who fled danger, sought safety legally, and built lives in our communities. They deserve compassion—not detention and deportation.

The United States must do better.

We urge our elected officials to:

Reverse the harm,

Restore TPS protections,

And uphold the promise of due process for all.

America cannot be the land of the free if we continue to detain and deport those who came seeking freedom.
