Restore the statue of Our Lady to the alcove in the Chalice Well Gardens

Restore the statue of Our Lady to the alcove in the Chalice Well Gardens
The Issue
In June 2024 the trustees of Chalice Well Gardens removed the statue of the Holy Mother from the shrine where she has been for twenty years, beloved by pilgrims from all over the world.
We petitioned for Her to be restored and after much pressure, The Chalice Well offered a compromise of placing Her in a gated garden away from the main shrine.
Their reason for this is this Mother and Child which was gifted by sacred sculptor Ganesh Bhat was inspired by another sculptor who died in the 1940s whose diaries revealed heinous crimes.
The Chalice Well have stated they believe the Mother and Child is triggering for survivors and needs to be hidden away. In their first response to our petition they also stated they wished for the gardens to be perceived as spiritually "neutral", however in their second response they emphasised the heinous crimes of the sculptor who inspired Ganesh Bhat.
The new location is not appropriate, the Mother is exposed to the elements and bird droppings and is not on a stable base. The location is also not disabled access. Overhelmingly visitors are stating they wish for Her to return to the shrine.
