600 signatures + Thank you

MY GOSH! Sending an absolute massive thank you to everyone who’s signed and supported this local petition—we’ve just passed 600 signatures, with the vast majority from our own neighbourhood. This shows the strength of our community and just how much Hampstead Cemetery means to us all. Blown away... and chuffed by this response. 

This is a grassroots, community-led effort, created by local residents who walk these paths, care about the nature and beauty here, and know its value to our health and well-being.

Thanks to your support, councillors across different parties have taken notice. We’re now preparing a deputation to Camden’s Culture & Environment Scrutiny Committee, where we’ll be able to speak directly to decision-makers about the real-life impact of limited access to this special place.

Many of you will remember that during Covid I helped co-ordinate local volunteers to keep the cemetery open—it's that same spirit of care and community that’s driving this petition forward now. And it’s working.
