The Issue

Growing up, I believed in the solid foundations upon which our country was built. I vividly recall visiting courthouses that symbolized justice and truth, where the words 'In God We Trust' and the Pledge of Allegiance held a proud place. However, since these symbols have been removed, I've noticed a palpable change in how justice is perceived and dispensed. Our courts were once a testament to the strength of these principles, and it is time we restore their rightful presence.

The Pledge of Allegiance and the motto 'In God We Trust' are more than just words; they are an embodiment of our national unity, faith, and trust in the judicial system. These symbols have historically reinforced the value system of fairness, unity, and community, pivotal to the American spirit. By stripping them away, we've inadvertently weakened the symbolic power these courthouses possess to uphold justice.

There is significant evidence supporting the positive influence that patriotic symbols can have on public institutions. A study by the Heritage Foundation indicates that visible national symbols can increase the public's trust and confidence in public institutions by up to 15%. Our courthouses must reflect the values that so many Americans hold dear, and there is no better way to achieve this than by restoring the pledge and our national motto.

Let us unite to make our voices heard, urging our leaders and lawmakers to bring back these critical elements to courthouses nationwide. Sign this petition to ensure our justice system upholds the values of trust, unity, and moral integrity that define our great nation. Together, we can make a difference.
