For decades, the Department of Chemical Engineering and Technology (DCET) at Panjab University was a trusted name, synonymous with academic excellence and industry respect.

As you are aware, it was renamed to the Dr. S. S. Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology (Dr. SSB UICET). This change has led to confusion about its affiliation, weakened its longstanding brand, and contributed to a decline in student quality.

Restoring the DCET name isn’t just about tradition—it’s about preserving a respected identity, safeguarding the department’s reputation, and ensuring its ongoing excellence.
