Sonos recently launched the renewed version of their mobile app (iOS and Android) which has received significant backlash from the user community. The new app has been described as a "pre-alpha experience" by the community and removes meaningful access to features that users have enjoyed for years.

The new app has a merit of issues that Sonos can not solve within a reasonable timeframe (as evident by the updated Sonos roadmap). This leaves long-standing Sonos users without any real alternative and in many cases a dysfunctional speaker system.

We urge Sonos to admit their mistake, show they listen to their users, and make the old app available again to existing users. This will allow them to move forward with a product that truly meets user needs and expectations.
