The majestic Elephant has brought millions of dollars  into our economy through the years. Not only in the wild, but also in our various tourist attractions like the Elephant show in the Colombo Zoo, the famous Esala Perahera, Bellanvila Perahera, Gangaramaya Perahera this amazing giant has added to the coffers of this country. 

However, for many years due to the illegal, systematic land grabs of forest lands made by various multinationals and corrupt politicians this beautiful creature has not only lost its traditional trails it has also being subject to being shot at and killed by their hundred. This year, in the 7 months past, 239 Elephants have been destroyed. 

We, the people of Sri Lanka, demand that this government act soon to restore the traditional trails and lands of these animals back to them before our country is emptied of them.
