Paramount Home Entertainment and CBS Digital restored Star Trek and Star Trek: The Next Generation by going back to the original negatives, cleaning them and re-scanning them so that they would be available in stunning 2k for the first time. 

This process opened up Star Trek and Star Trek: The Next Generation to whole new generation of fans but disappointingly Paramount and CBS decided not to restore Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was and is a ground-breaking piece of Science Fiction, rewarded with 32 Emmy nominations and countless other accolades. Its seven year story arc allowed its writers to present dilemmas and moral conundrums to audiences in a style true to that of Gene Roddenberry's original series.

Star Trek has millions on fans and had made over a billion dollars for Paramount and CBS. The time has come for Paramount and CBS to ensure that Star Trek: Deep Space Nine is given the treatment Star Trek and Star Trek: The Next Generation received and is allowed to have a future through streaming and Blu-Ray in 2k and 4k.
