Bring Back Geralt's Russian Voice in The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past
For millions of Russian-speaking fans, Geralt of Rivia has a voice — the distinctive voice of Vsevolod Kuznetsov.

Since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Kuznetsov's performance has become an inseparable part of how many players experience Geralt and the world of The Witcher. His interpretation captures Geralt's character, his dry humor, his emotions, and his philosophical nature in a way that has resonated deeply with Russian-speaking players for many years.

The upcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Songs of the Past will not include Russian voice acting, although Russian interface text and subtitles will remain available.

We accept CD PROJEKT RED's decision regarding cooperation with tax residents of Russia and Belarus. We are not asking the company to abandon or change that policy.

We are simply asking CD PROJEKT RED to look for a solution within its existing policy.

For many players, this is not simply a question of adding another language option. The Russian voice of Geralt has been part of their experience of The Witcher 3 for years. Introducing the new expansion without that voice creates a break in the continuity of the character they know and love.

And when we talk about Geralt's Russian voice, we are talking specifically about Vsevolod Kuznetsov.

His performance has become deeply associated with the character among Russian-speaking fans. Over the years, this connection has been reflected in fan communities, discussions, artwork, videos, and countless personal memories of playing The Witcher 3.

We therefore ask CD PROJEKT RED to reconsider the possibility of Russian voice acting for Songs of the Past and, in particular, to explore whether Vsevolod Kuznetsov could return as Geralt.

We are not asking CD PROJEKT RED to make an exception to its principles.

We are asking the company to explore whether there is a lawful and policy-compliant way to make this possible.

Russian-speaking fans are an international community. They live in many different countries and are not synonymous with the Russian market or with Russian tax residents. A Russian-language localization can serve players around the world.

We believe there may be a way to preserve the continuity of Geralt's character while respecting CD PROJEKT RED's existing policies.

Please don't see this petition as a demand to change your principles.

See it as a request to find a solution that allows Geralt to keep his voice.

For many of us, that voice is Vsevolod Kuznetsov.
