Restore Rodney Matthew Buchanan's Rights to Bear Arms in Accordance with ORC 2923.14
Restore Rodney Matthew Buchanan's Rights to Bear Arms in Accordance with ORC 2923.14
The Issue
I, Rodney Matthew Buchanan, am a resident of Toledo, OH and a proud American citizen. I have served my time for past mistakes and have since turned my life around. It has been years since my last conviction; I am no longer on probation and have fully embraced the path of righteousness.
I've found solace in God's teachings and reconnected with my family, becoming an integral part of their lives once more. As a law-abiding citizen who respects the Constitution, it is now time for me to exercise one of its fundamental rights - the right to bear arms as stated in the Second Amendment.
In addition to this personal transformation, I've become a successful business owner with three LLCs under my belt. This achievement is testament not only to my dedication but also proof that individuals can change for the better.
Accordingly, based on Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 2923.14 which allows restoration of firearm rights under certain conditions - conditions that I meet - it is only fair that these rights be restored to me.
Do To The Constitution
Article I, Section 2 | Right to alter, reform, or abolish government, and repeal special privileges (https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-constitution/section-1.2
...All political power is inherent in the people. Government is instituted for their equal protection and benefit, and they have the right to alter, reform, or abolish the same, whenever they may deem it necessary; and no special privileges or immunities shall ever be granted, that may not be altered, revoked, or repealed by the general assembly.
Article I, Section 3 | Right to assemble (https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-constitution/section-1.3
...The people have the right to assemble together, in a peaceable manner, to consult for their comm
on good; to instruct their representatives; and to petition the general assembly for the redress of grievances.
I urge Lucas County Common Pleas Judge to consider this petition favorably and restore my right to bear arms as per ORC 2923.14 law and our Constitution's Second Amendment provisions.
Your support will not just uphold justice but also reinforce faith in our legal system's ability to recognize change and rehabilitation among citizens who were once convicted but are now contributing positively towards society.
Please sign this petition today so together we can uphold justice while recognizing individual growth and transformation.
